Mission Statement

MedReviews’ mission is to review the latest advances in the diagnosis and treatment of a wide range of conditions to help the busy, practicing physician keep up to date with their rapidly evolving fields.

MedReviews has been in business for over ten years and is the publisher of four Index Medicus, PubMed, Medline journals including Reviews in Urology, Reviews in Cardiovascular Medicine, Reviews in Neurological Diseases, and Reviews in Obstetrics & Gynecology. MedReviews is a stand-alone, unique business entity with its own mission, business approach, rules, and regulations.

Peer-Review Process for Publications

All articles are reviewed by the journal medical editors for content. Additionally, when manuscripts are received they are often sent to the appropriate editorial board members consistent with their areas of expertise. Comments from all reviewers are provided to the author who is given the opportunity to revise the manuscript. When the revised manuscript is received it is reviewed again by the Medial Editors along with the in-house Managing Editor to make sure that the revisions have been made. All reviewer/revision information is kept on file at MedReviews.

Disclosure/Transparency

All authors are required to complete disclosure forms before their manuscripts are published. Author disclosure information is included in the published article either at the beginning of the article, the end of the article, or on a separate page where disclosure information is listed. In cases where financial, editorial, formatting, or other support has been provided by industry, we ensure that the policies of the supporting entity are compliant with all appropriate third-party guidelines and use the supporter's policy to disclose any assistance. We believe that this is the most efficient manner in which to deal with the internal policies of large organizations that can have dramatic differences in their adoption of regulatory guidelines. All Editorial Board members keep disclosure statements on file with MedReviews, and we post these statements on our website at www.medreviews.com. These disclosures are updated annually.
